A new ride-hailing app, Pure Ride, officially launched in Manila, offering an affordable and locally developed transportation alternative for Filipinos. The grand launch took place at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on February 14, 2025, with an event that featured exciting prizes, giveaways, food, and entertainment. Pure Ride, designed by Filipinos for Filipino passengers, initially became available for Android users, with an iOS version set to follow soon. To celebrate its launch, the company gave away three motorcycles, one electric car, including lots of major and minor prizes to lucky participants.
Pure Ride, backed by the Pure Group of Companies, aimed to improve transportation by focusing on both passengers and drivers. During the event, Edison Go Tan, Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that the company’s mission was to offer a trustworthy and fair alternative to existing ride-hailing services. The app promised transparent pricing and a strict policy against excessive fare surges. Jomerito “Jojo” Soliman, President and Owner of Pure Ride, highlighted that the app was designed to be user-friendly, secure, and responsive to the needs of its drivers, ensuring better earnings and safer working conditions.
Beyond ride-hailing, Pure Ride planned to expand its services to include food delivery (Pure Meals), online shopping (Pure Mart), and luxury transport options such as Pure Heli for air travel and Pure Yacht for exclusive sailing experiences. The company announced plans to expand operations from Metro Manila to other major cities, including Pampanga, Cebu, Davao, Baguio, Iloilo, Palawan, and Bacolod. The brand’s mascot, Primo the Tarsier, symbolized its commitment to Filipino culture and heritage. Additionally, the company pledged to continue its corporate social responsibility efforts, such as building schools and providing medical assistance to underserved communities.
With a strong focus on sustainability, Pure Ride aimed to integrate electric vehicles into its fleet, contributing to a reduced carbon footprint. The company also introduced a 24/7 customer support hotline to enhance user experience. Through its slogan, “Get kita!”, Pure Ride sought to redefine modern transportation in the Philippines. The company marked the beginning of a new era in ride-hailing and delivery services tailored to Filipino needs.
