OSHDP Affordable Housing Summit 2025

The Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines (OSHDP) held its Affordable Housing Summit 2025 under the theme “Confronting the Deepening Housing Crisis,” marking three decades of advocacy in socialized and economic housing. It was held on August 26, 2025, at the Solaire Grand Ballroom, Solaire North, Quezon City, Philippines.  The summit convened industry stakeholders, policymakers, housing developers, and community advocates to address the urgent challenges facing affordable housing in the Philippines. Its purpose was to spotlight the worsening housing shortage and explore pathways to sustainable, inclusive housing development. 


During the summit, participants engaged in panels, presentations, and dialogues that examined the root causes and systemic barriers of the housing crisis. Discussions delved into land scarcity, financing mechanisms, policy gaps, urban planning, social housing models, and innovations in construction technologies. MSME Bayanihan Caravan 2025

The MSME Bayanihan Caravan 2025 took place on July 15–16 at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City, bringing together micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), business development service providers, and local product exhibitors in one venue. The event carried the theme “Asenso Negosyo, Angat Kabuhayan: Bagong Pilipinas,” highlighting its mission to strengthen Filipino entrepreneurship. It featured a variety of activities, including learning sessions, expert business advice, and an OTOP product showcase. The 2025 edition of
returned to Manila with strong momentum, attracting over 13,000 delegates to the SMX Convention Centre from June 1–4. Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025 Event Briefing

 On April 11, 2025, the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025 held its ninth International Briefing at F1 Hotel Manila, Bonifacio Global City, as part of its global outreach initiative. Organized by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) and co-organized by Nikkei Business Publications, the Manila event aimed to deepen connections with gaming communities in Southeast Asia. It served as a preview of what attendees could expect at the main TGS event, scheduled for September 25–28, 2025, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Key stakeholders, media, indie developers, and content creators attended the briefing to explore potential collaborations and exhibition opportunities. One of the most notable announcements was the “Selected Indie 80” program, which offered 80 indie developers complimentary exhibition booths, equipment, and interpretation support. Eight developers would also be chosen to present their innovations at the highly anticipated “Sense of Wonder Night” (SOWN), showcasing creative and original game designs. Pure Ride Ph Grand Launch

A new ride-hailing app, Pure Ride, officially launched in Manila, offering an affordable and locally developed transportation alternative for Filipinos. The grand launch took place at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on February 14, 2025, with an event that featured exciting prizes, giveaways, food, and entertainment. Pure Ride, designed by Filipinos for Filipino passengers, initially became available for Android users, with an iOS version set to follow soon. To celebrate its launch, the company gave away three motorcycles, one electric car, including lots of major and minor prizes to lucky participants.

Pure Ride, backed by the Pure Group of Companies, aimed to improve transportation by focusing on both passengers and drivers. During the event, Edison Go Tan, Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that the company’s mission was to offer a trustworthy and fair alternative to existing ride-hailing services. The app promised transparent pricing and a strict policy against excessive fare surges. Jomerito “Jojo” Soliman, President and Owner of Pure Ride, highlighted that the app was designed to be user-friendly, secure, and responsive to the needs of its drivers, ensuring better earnings and safer working conditions.

Beyond ride-hailing, Pure Ride planned to expand its services to include food delivery (Pure Meals), online shopping (Pure Mart), and luxury transport options such as Pure Heli for air travel and Pure Yacht for exclusive sailing experiences. The company announced plans to expand operations from Metro Manila to other major cities, including Pampanga, Cebu, Davao, Baguio, Iloilo, Palawan, and Bacolod. The brand’s mascot, Primo the Tarsier, symbolized its commitment to Filipino culture and heritage. Additionally, the company pledged to continue its corporate social responsibility efforts, such as building schools and providing medical assistance to underserved communities.




With a strong focus on sustainability, Pure Ride aimed to integrate electric vehicles into its fleet, contributing to a reduced carbon footprint. The company also introduced a 24/7 customer support hotline to enhance user experience. Through its slogan, “Get kita!”, Pure Ride sought to redefine modern transportation in the Philippines. The company marked the beginning of a new era in ride-hailing and delivery services tailored to Filipino needs.
